Certified End of Life Specialist (CEOLS) & Certified Grief Specialist
Meet Nicole Steinberg
I was once deeply afraid of dying, but over time I came to understand that we often fear what we do not understand. That fear slowly became curiosity, and that curiosity eventually became a professional calling. I became fascinated by the complexity, beauty, and mystery of death, including death rituals, grief, and the many ways different cultures honor the dead.
My work in death care began in Washington, where I served as the Office Manager for a care facility and as a Transportation Specialist, caring for decedents and supporting the behind-the-scenes work that happens after a death. I later became an Executive Assistant at a funeral home offering cremation, aquamation, and burial, which gave me a strong foundation in funeral service, family care, and the many decisions people face at the end of life.
I went on to serve as Director of Outreach for a Natural Organic Reduction company, where I helped educate families, professionals, and communities about emerging, sustainable end-of-life options.
In addition to my death care experience, I am a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, Certified End-of-Life Specialist, Certified Chaplain, Certified Phlebotomist, and Naturopathic Assistant. My background allows me to approach death, grief, and planning through both practical and compassionate lenses.
My hope is that more people feel empowered to speak openly about death, grief, and their end-of-life wishes. Until that becomes the norm, I offer as much guidance, education, and space as I can, while helping connect people with the resources and support they may need along the way.
